Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible for the data

TryRankAI is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Questions and requests about it go to support@tryrankai.io.

2. What TryRankAI collects

Account data. Name, email address, and an authentication record. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and are never visible to TryRankAI. Signing in with Google shares the name, email address, and profile picture held on that Google account.

Brand and project data. The domain, brand name, target audience, competitors, and tracked prompts entered during onboarding or in the dashboard.

Usage data. Tool runs and their inputs, saved run history, tracked prompt snapshots, generated alerts, and audit reports. Each record is stored against the account that created it.

Billing data. Plan, subscription status, renewal date, and a customer reference from the payment provider. Card numbers go directly to the payment provider and are never received or stored by TryRankAI.

Support data. Feature requests and support messages sent from the dashboard or by email, together with the page they were sent from.

Technical data. IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected through server logs and, where analytics is enabled, through Google Analytics.

3. Why TryRankAI processes it

• To create and secure the account, which is necessary to provide the service
• To run the tools, audits, and daily prompt refreshes the customer asks for, which is necessary to provide the service
• To take payment and manage the subscription, which is necessary to provide the service and to meet accounting duties
• To send service email such as visibility alerts and completed audit reports, which can be switched off in the dashboard settings
• To answer support messages
• To keep the platform secure and to diagnose faults
• To measure how the site is used through analytics

4. Who else processes it

Running the platform means passing data to the following service providers:

• Google Firebase and Google Cloud: authentication, database, file storage, and the servers the backend runs on
• The payment provider shown at checkout: checkout, subscription management, and payment processing
• DataForSEO: Google and Bing search result data for the rank tracking tools
• AI model providers, namely OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Mistral, Alibaba, and Baidu: the prompts submitted for visibility checks are sent to these providers to obtain answers
• Resend: delivery of alert and audit emails
• Google Analytics: site usage measurement

A prompt submitted for a visibility check is sent to the AI model providers as written. Personal or confidential information should not be placed inside a tracked prompt.

TryRankAI does not sell personal data and does not share it for advertising.

5. Prompt result caching

A tracked prompt is usually a public question such as "best project management software". When two accounts track the same prompt, TryRankAI may reuse a recently fetched AI model answer instead of querying the provider again, for a limited number of hours.

The cache stores the prompt text and the AI model's answer. It does not store which account requested it, and no account can see another account's tracked prompts, reports, or history.

6. International transfers

The service providers listed above operate in the United States and other countries. Where data moves between countries, TryRankAI relies on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

7. How long data is kept

• Account data: for as long as the account is open, then deleted within 30 days of closure
• Tool runs, tracked prompts, alerts, and audit reports: for as long as the account is open, then deleted with the account
• Billing records: as long as accounting and tax rules require
• Support messages: three years from the last message in the thread
• Cached prompt answers: a small number of hours, then overwritten
• Server logs: 90 days

8. Cookies

TryRankAI sets a session cookie and local storage entries to keep a signed-in user authenticated. These are strictly necessary and cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in.

Where analytics is enabled, Google Analytics sets measurement cookies to show how the site is used. Visitors can block them in their browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

9. Rights over the data

Anyone whose personal data TryRankAI holds may ask for access to it, correction of it, deletion of it, a portable copy of it, or a restriction on how it is used, and may object to how it is processed.

Requests go to support@tryrankai.io and receive a reply within 30 days. A complaint may also be made to the data protection authority in the country of residence.

Alert and audit emails can be switched off at any time in the dashboard settings without contacting support.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by the underlying Google Cloud infrastructure. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, so any breach affecting personal data is reported to affected customers and to the relevant authority as the law requires.

11. Children

TryRankAI is not meant for anyone under 16 and does not knowingly collect their personal data. A parent or guardian who believes a child has created an account can ask for it to be deleted at support@tryrankai.io.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated. Material changes are announced by email or in the dashboard before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page changes with every revision.
